1754: Conquest – The French and Indian War is a historical strategy board game about the struggle for control of North America. Players command the British and French colonial powers, along with their Native American allies, in a fast-moving conflict of raids, reinforcements, shifting fronts and contested territories.
Part of the approachable “Birth of America” style of historical games, 1754: Conquest uses card-driven movement and area control rather than heavy simulation. It works especially well as a team game, with each side made up of different allied factions that must coordinate their plans without having identical strengths.
This is a strong choice for players who enjoy historical conflict games but want something more accessible than a traditional hex-and-counter wargame. It should appeal to fans of games such as 1775: Rebellion, 1812: The Invasion of Canada, and other medium-weight historical area-control games.
