Against the Odds #46: No Middle Ground – The Golan Heights 1973 is a magazine-format wargame covering the northern front of the 1973 Arab-Israeli War.

Designed by Paul Rohrbaugh, No Middle Ground focuses on the struggle for the Golan Heights, from the opening Syrian attack to the Israeli counter-offensive that pushed the fighting toward Damascus. The game includes three scenarios plus a Grand Campaign covering the full Golan campaign.

Gameplay uses interactive chit-pull formation activation to create uncertainty and battlefield friction while still giving players meaningful operational choices. Rules cover combined-arms tactics, artillery barrages, improved positions, minefields, airpower, airborne and commando assaults, and optional forces that might have been committed by either side.

Contents include: a 22” x 34” map, two full-color die-cut counter sheets, illustrated rules, charts, designer’s notes, historical commentary, and the accompanying Against the Odds magazine issue.
