Band of Brothers: Old Breed South Pacific

Band of Brothers: Old Breed South Pacific brings Worthington Publishing’s fast-playing squad-level WWII tactical system to the Pacific. Players refight battles of the U.S. First Marine Division on Guadalcanal and New Britain, with infantry, tanks, artillery, suppression, close assault, and battlefield maneuver all handled through the accessible Band of Brothers rules system.

The game uses the series’ distinctive suppression model, where units do not simply flip between “good” and “broken.” Suppression can build from multiple fire sources, and you often do not know exactly how a unit will respond until it is ordered to act. That creates tense decisions around timing, fire support, movement, and whether a squad can still be trusted when the moment comes.

Like other Band of Brothers titles, Old Breed South Pacific focuses on clean play without losing tactical pressure. Dug-in troops are hard to destroy at range, so players must pin the enemy, maneuver, and close in when the opportunity appears. Proficiency and casualty ratings help differentiate squads beyond morale alone.
