Combat Commander: Europe is GMT’s award-winning tactical squad-level WWII infantry game, focused on firefights, movement, leadership, objectives, and battlefield chaos in the European Theater.

Players command German, American, or Soviet forces through card-driven scenarios where every decision depends on the hand you are dealt. There is no fixed turn sequence: players use Fate cards to issue orders, trigger actions, resolve events, and react to opportunities as they appear.

The system creates tense, story-rich battles where plans can be disrupted by command confusion, sudden events, unexpected heroes, artillery, smoke, close assaults, and morale shifts. Leaders are especially important, helping coordinate squads and fire teams across the battlefield.
