Cthulhu Wars: Shaggai Map Expansion adds a new battlefield set on Shaggai, the doomed homeworld of the Insects from Shaggai. As the game unfolds, parts of the world are destroyed, constricting the map and forcing players into more direct conflict.

The key mechanism is the gradual placement of Eradication Markers, which make areas unusable. This turns the map into a collapsing battlefield where players must plan around shrinking space, blocked regions, and the pressure of escaping destruction before it is too late.
