Eastern Front Operational Battles

Eastern Front Operational Battles is a Compass Games quad game covering four WWII operational battles on the Eastern Front. The package includes Pincers, Operation Fredericus, Orel Salient and Operation Rumiantsev, giving players two 1942 battles around Kharkov and two 1943 battles connected to the wider Kursk campaign.

All four games use the same accessible rule set, making it easier to move from one battle to the next. The system focuses on operational movement, attacks, headquarters support, breakthroughs, airpower and special events, with enough historical detail to give each situation its own character.

The 1942 games mostly use regiments, brigades and divisions, while the 1943 games shift toward divisions and corps. Armored, motorized and cavalry formations give both sides chances for movement and exploitation, while German heavy units such as Tigers, Ferdinands, Hornisse and Brummbärs appear in the later battles.
