EuroFront II

EuroFront II is a strategic World War II block wargame from Columbia Games, covering the conflict between Germany and the Allied powers across Europe from 1939 to 1945. It updates the classic EuroFront: War in Europe with expanded coverage, including the Northern Front, the Middle East and Turkey.

Players must manage production, supply, command control, weather and large-scale operations as they try to break enemy lines and sustain campaigns across multiple fronts. The game uses Columbia’s wooden block system, with upright blocks hiding unit identities and strength from the opponent while also making step losses easy to track.

EuroFront II is part of Columbia’s broader WWII block game system, alongside EastFront Second Edition and WestFront II. It adds forces and theatres not present in the earlier version, including Finns, Swedes, Norwegians, Axis forces in Norway, and Middle Eastern units such as Turkish and Iraqi troops.

This is a major strategic wargame for players who want a broad treatment of World War II in Europe, with fog of war, production decisions and multi-front pressure. Shorter scenarios are available, but a full campaign is a serious commitment.

Playing time: shorter scenarios may take around 10 hours; a full campaign can run much longer.
