Golden Age of Piracy

Golden Age of Piracy is a solitaire adventure game from Compass Games, set in the Caribbean during 1718. Part wargame, part sandbox adventure and part RPG, it puts you in command of a pirate ship as you chase fortune, infamy and survival.

As pirate captain, your goal is to gather enough booty through raids, ship combat, boarding actions and treasure hunting to buy a King’s pardon before time runs out. Along the way, you may face merchant ships, warships, harbor defenses, buried treasure searches and stranger dangers such as the Kraken or a ghost ship.

The game is open-ended, giving each campaign its own story as you manage your ship, crew, cargo, damage, pirate haven and growing reputation. Golden Age of Piracy is well suited to solo players looking for a nautical adventure with tactical encounters, campaign progression and plenty of pirate flavour.

Contents include: one rules booklet, one charts and tables booklet, 208 3/4″ die-cut counters, a Caribbean map, a deck of Pirate Cards, a Save Game Log, multiple ship, combat, town, treasure, crew, cargo and inventory mats, ten 10-sided dice, and a box with lid.
