Lanzerath Ridge

Lanzerath Ridge is a solitaire wargame set on the first day of the Battle of the Bulge, as a small American force defends Lanzerath, Belgium, against repeated German attacks.

Players command the American defenders as they try to delay the German advance and prevent enemy forces from breaking through their positions. The game is built around four attack periods, each driven by enemy card decks that create pressure, uncertainty, and different tactical problems.

During play, you’ll manage morale, use limited defender actions, respond to German movement and attacks, and try to hold out long enough to recreate the remarkable historical delay caused by the defenders of Lanzerath Ridge.

Part of the Valiant Defense series, alongside games such as Pavlov’s House, Castle Itter, and Soldiers in Postmen’s Uniforms, this game focuses on small-unit courage, tight decision-making, and historical detail in a compact solitaire format.
