Mice and Mystics: Downwood Tales is a large story expansion that takes the adventure beyond the castle walls and into the Downwood. The heroes encounter new allies, enemies, locations, and story challenges as the campaign moves through forests, trees, streams, and other outdoor dangers.

This big-box expansion adds a new storybook with 11 chapters, new mouse heroes, new minions, forest tiles, ability cards, search cards, encounter cards, overlays, counters, and the gecko ranger Jakobe. It expands both the story and the tactical variety of Mice and Mystics while keeping the cooperative adventure format of the base game.
