Mirages

Mirages is an operational-level World War II wargame from VUCA Simulations covering the early desert campaigns in North Africa from December 1940 to June 1941. It includes Operations Compass, Brevity, Battleaxe, and Skorpion, placing supply lines, terrain, timing, and formation management at the centre of play.

Designed for two players and also suitable for solitaire play, Mirages is the first game in VUCA’s Formation Series, which builds on systems seen in titles such as Crossing the Line, Across the Bug River, and Operation Theseus. Combat units are mostly infantry regiments or brigades and armoured battalions or regiments, giving the game an operational feel without losing sight of the harsh desert conditions that shaped the campaign.

This is a standalone historical wargame and an entry point into the Formation Series.

Contents include: one Formation Series rulebook, one game-specific rulebook, one mounted map, 395 counters, two trifold player aids, two double-sided setup displays, one double-sided turn track, and two ten-sided dice.
