Napoleon Invades Spain: Peninsular War, Part I is an Operational Studies Group wargame on the opening stage of the Peninsular War, when Napoleon personally entered Spain with a massive army to restore French control after a series of setbacks.

The game covers four battles from the 1808–1809 campaign: Vimeiro, Espinosa de los Monteros, Tudela, and Coruña. Together, they trace the first British intervention, Spanish resistance, Napoleon’s drive into the Peninsula, and the difficult British retreat to the coast.

As part of OSG’s The Library of Napoleonic Battles system, Napoleon Invades Spain emphasizes command, maneuver, terrain, battle approach, and the operational tempo of Napoleonic warfare. It is a strong fit for players interested in the Peninsular War and in a campaign where French power, Spanish armies, and British intervention all collide early in the conflict.
