Paper Wars 95: Hannibal is a Paper Wars magazine issue with an enclosed strategic wargame covering Hannibal’s Italian campaign from 218 to 208 BC.

Players take on the struggle between Carthage and Rome after Hannibal’s famous crossing of the Alps. The Carthaginian player must use maneuver, battlefield superiority, and disaffected Roman allies to keep pressure on Rome. The Roman player must absorb defeats, rebuild armies, and prevent Hannibal from turning victories in the field into strategic collapse.

With yearly turns, 40-kilometer hexes, and medium complexity, this is a compact strategic treatment of one of antiquity’s most famous campaigns.
