Sekigahara: The Unification of Japan is a two-player block wargame covering the short but decisive 1600 campaign that brought Tokugawa Ieyasu to power and unified Japan under the Tokugawa shogunate.
This is a game about armies, but also about trust. Players command either Tokugawa Ieyasu or Ishida Mitsunari, moving hidden forces across Japan while trying to judge which allied clans will actually fight when battle begins. A large army is not enough if the cards in your hand cannot motivate it.
The game uses no dice. Combat is driven by cards representing loyalty and commitment, creating a strong sense of bluff, uncertainty, and timing. You may know what you hope your army can do, but your opponent is reading your moves just as carefully.
With elegant rules, concealed blocks, and a compact playtime, Sekigahara offers a lot of strategic depth without becoming heavy. It is an excellent choice for players who enjoy tense two-player games where positioning, psychology, and timing matter as much as raw strength.
Contents include: mounted map, wooden blocks, sticker sheets, 110 cards, rulebook, and two player aid cards.
