This large Operational Combat Series game covers the fighting in Belorussia, eastern Poland, and nearby Baltic regions from late September 1943 to April 1944. The campaign focuses on the Army Group Center sector, where Soviet offensives, partisan operations, Axis countermeasures, and brutal attritional fighting laid the groundwork for the later collapse of Army Group Center in 1944.

The game includes full campaign scenarios, shorter one-map scenarios, and a combined scenario that can be played together with The Third Winter. Special rules cover Soviet Front HQs, RVGK coordination, Axis army and army group headquarters, Kessel HQs, Kampfgruppen, partisan warfare, and random events.
