Players explore the Great Northern War, the struggle that marked the decline of Sweden as a major power and helped set the stage for the rest of the eighteenth century. The design combines a compact map, wooden pieces, stickers, and a custom illustrated card deck by Ilya Kudriashov.

Fast-playing and focused, The Great Northern War offers a shorter strategic treatment of a major historical conflict, using cards and pieces to represent the pressure, manoeuvre, and political-military struggle between Sweden and its enemies.
