The Last Hundred Yards Volume 3: The Solomon Islands

The Last Hundred Yards Volume 3: The Solomon Islands is a standalone game in The Last Hundred Yards series, shifting the action from Europe to the Pacific Theater.

This volume focuses on the fierce fighting for Guadalcanal, Bougainville, and New Georgia, with missions featuring the 1st and 3rd Marine Divisions and the US Army’s 25th Infantry Division. The tactical problems are very different from the European volumes: jungle terrain, hidden Japanese positions, infiltration, night attacks, bunkers, and close-range assaults all shape the battlefield.

New weapons and terrain, including flamethrowers, anti-tank halftracks, light jungle, and heavy jungle, give this volume its own character. Players must manage small-unit movement, fire, reaction, and momentum while dealing with some of the most difficult combat conditions of the war.

Because this is a standalone volume, ownership of the original The Last Hundred Yards is not required.

Contents include: four double-sided geomorphic maps, four full-size countersheets, one half-size countersheet, rules booklet, playbook, five mission cards with 10 missions, combat and terrain charts, game turn track, and four ten-sided dice.
