Tiger Leader

Tiger Leader brings the DVG Leader system to ground combat, putting you in command of a German Kampfgruppe of tanks, vehicles, and infantry during World War II.

You’ll select your force for each mission—choosing tanks, support units, and commanders—then send them into battle across dynamically generated terrain. As in other Leader games, planning matters: the right mix of units and leaders can make the difference between a clean victory and a costly operation.

Combat plays out on a tactical display where enemy tanks, infantry, and anti-tank guns are revealed and engaged. A fog of war system adds uncertainty, forcing you to react to threats that may not be fully visible until they are already a problem.

Across campaigns, your commanders and crews gain experience but also fatigue, creating the familiar Leader-series tension between pushing your best units and preserving them for future missions. You can refit forces and upgrade equipment over time, eventually fielding more advanced vehicles like Panthers and Tiger tanks.

The game includes multiple historical campaigns—from Poland and France to the Eastern and Western Fronts—plus a hypothetical Operation Sea Lion campaign. These can be played individually or linked into a longer campaign.

Tiger Leader is especially suited to players who enjoy WWII ground combat, campaign progression, unit management, and tactical decision-making in a solitaire format.

Contents include: 240 cards, 2 counter sheets, 3 sheets of terrain hexes, a mounted tactical sheet, player aid sheet, and a 10-sided die.
