War with a Vengeance! – The V-1 Campaign is a solitaire wargame on the German V-1 flying bomb offensive against Britain in June and July 1944.

Designed by Paul Rohrbaugh, War with a Vengeance! recreates the two-month V-1 campaign sometimes described as a “Second Battle of Britain.” The player commands the Allied defense against German V-1 attacks, using fighter aircraft, ground defenses, and Royal Navy support to protect southern England from the “doodlebugs.”

The game system controls the German side, assigning V-1 attacks by target and launch timing in an attempt to mislead and overwhelm the defenders. Random events add uncertainty, while the Allied player must decide whether to concentrate fully on stopping the V-1s or divert effort toward the D-Day beaches and ground operations that can help capture the launch sites.

Compact, quick-playing, and solo-focused, this is a small-footprint wargame about air defense, hard choices, and the danger that the V-1 campaign might have disrupted the Normandy invasion.
