Against the Odds Annual 2017: Six Days of War is a magazine-annual wargame on the 1967 Six-Day War between Israel and its neighbouring Arab states.

Six Days of War covers the conflict across three connected battlefield areas: the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, and Galilee/Golan. Players begin with a Strategic Segment in which cards, diplomacy, war footing, and force positioning shape the crisis before open war begins. UN peacekeepers, Jordanian neutrality, Arab coordination, Israeli readiness, and random events can all shift the situation before the first major blows are struck.

Once fighting begins, the game becomes a tense operational contest. Israel must survive, seize the initiative, and win quickly before international pressure forces a cease-fire. The Arab player must avoid disaster, preserve strength, and turn the campaign into a longer-term strategic victory.

The game includes the full campaign, a historically based faster-start scenario, and a “Ben Gurion’s Nightmare” scenario that gives Israel a much more difficult opening situation. Optional rules add further historical and what-if possibilities.
