ASL Drop Zone: Sainte-Mère-Église

ASL Drop Zone: Sainte-Mère-Église is a Historical Advanced Squad Leader module covering the first two days of fighting around Sainte-Mère-Église during Operation Overlord.

Located behind Utah Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église was a vital crossroads for the U.S. forces landing and pushing inland from the beachhead. The module focuses on the 82nd Airborne Division, especially the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, as American paratroopers attempt to seize and hold the town against German counterattacks.

The German defence includes a mixture of Ost Battalion troops, regular infantry from Luftlande-Infanterie-Division 91, Sturm-Bataillon AOK 7, and ad-hoc armoured support. The American player must hold the town and expand the perimeter, while the German player tries to retake key ground and delay the invasion effort.

The module includes three historically accurate map sheets of Sainte-Mère-Église and the surrounding area, 11 scenarios covering portions of the battle, and three campaign games of different sizes. It is a substantial HASL module for experienced ASL players interested in D-Day, airborne operations, and historical-map campaign play.

Requires: the Advanced Squad Leader core game system. This is not a standalone product.
