Avec Infini Regret III: French Wars of Religion

Avec Infini Regret III: French Wars of Religion is a Vae Victis wargame on the Battle of Moncontour, fought on 3 October 1569 during the third French War of Religion.

The game places players in the violent struggle between the Catholic royal army under the Duc d’Anjou and the Protestant Huguenot forces led by Admiral de Coligny. After Jarnac and La Roche-l’Abeille, both sides meet again near Moncontour, where Coligny’s outnumbered army is forced into battle against a better-prepared Catholic force.

This is a compact historical wargame with French and English rules, suitable for players interested in early modern warfare, religious civil conflict, and the brutal campaigns of sixteenth-century France.
