Banish All Their Fears

Banish All Their Fears is a tactical battlefield wargame covering two major battles of the late 17th and early 18th centuries: Neerwinden in 1693 and Blenheim in 1704.

Part of GMT’s Bayonet & Musket series, the game adapts the familiar Musket & Pike lineage to the age of larger armies, brigade-level maneuver, and increasingly dominant firepower. Players command battalions, cavalry formations, and artillery through alternating brigade activations shaped by orders such as Charge, March, and Dress Ranks.

The focus is on battlefield command: committing brigades at the right moment, maintaining reserves, managing battered frontline units, and exploiting weaknesses before the enemy can recover. Combat is streamlined compared to earlier Musket & Pike titles, while still preserving the historical feel of disciplined infantry lines, cavalry action, and the pressure of command decisions across a large battle.

The box includes two very different engagements. Neerwinden pits William III’s Allied army behind fortified defenses against the French under Luxembourg, while Blenheim presents Marlborough’s famous campaign against the Franco-Bavarian army on the Danube.

Banish All Their Fears will appeal to players interested in pre-Napoleonic warfare, linear tactics, and historically researched battle systems with moderate complexity.
