Before Waterloo: The 1814 Expansion expands Beyond Waterloo into the Napoleonic campaign of 1814, the year before the more famous Waterloo campaign.

Designed by John Prados, Before Waterloo is a two-player strategic simulation of the military, economic, diplomatic, and political struggle between France and the Allied Coalition in 1814. Napoleon must defend France after Leipzig while trying to recreate the brilliance of earlier campaigns. The Allied Coalition must defeat him, impose a new political order, and prevent France from escaping the consequences of defeat.

The expansion adds new campaign material, new territories, more battle tactics, additional units, and wider political-military choices. It also includes additional Napoleonic Pocket Battle Games, making this a substantial add-on for owners of Beyond Waterloo.

Contents include: 5.5” x 8.5” map extension, 17” x 22” army organization display, 280 full-color 1/2” die-cut counters, 12 deluxe Battle Tactic cards, cardstock game chart, 12-page 1814 rules set, and 8 Napoleonic Pocket Battle Games.
