Black Swan: Europe 1939–1945

Black Swan: Europe 1939–1945 is a strategic World War II block wargame from VentoNuovo Games, covering the war in Europe from the invasion of Poland to the final collapse of the Axis.

Players command the Axis powers or the Allies across the full European theater. Germany and Italy must seek a rapid decision, whether through a Mediterranean strategy, a decisive blow against the Soviet Union, or an economic path to victory. The Allied side must survive the early Axis onslaught, bring its growing strength into play, and turn the war into a long contest of production, attrition, and strategic pressure.

As a block game, Black Swan uses fog of war and rotating blocks to represent hidden information and unit strength. Enemy units are not fully known until revealed in combat, making uncertainty, bluffing, and timing central to the experience. The game includes shorter scenarios as well as longer campaigns, from focused operations to the full 1939–1945 war.
