Combat! 2: From D-Day to V-E Day

Combat! 2: From D-Day to V-E Day is an expansion for Combat! from Compass Games, expanding the solitaire man-to-man WWII tactical system with new weapons, enemies, vehicles, scenarios and a full campaign game. A copy of Combat! is required to play.

This module adds SS enemies, a third American squad, command elements for platoon-level actions, trained medics, weather and ground conditions, fire rules, light anti-tank weapons and vehicles such as the Sherman M4A3, Pzkpfw IVF2, M3 Half Track and trucks. New weapons include the STG44, Thompson sub-machine gun and Springfield 1903.

The major addition is the campaign system, following your squad from D-Day to V-E Day across chapters such as Normandy, Pursuit, Hürtgen Forest, the Bulge, the Siegfried Line and Germany. Soldiers can gain skills, earn medals, form close bonds, develop rivalries and be shaped by campaign events such as replacements, illness, leave, arguments and battlefield experience.

With 12 new stand-alone scenarios, seven campaign scenarios, mission tables, patrol tables and extensive squad tracking, Combat! 2 gives solo WWII tactical players a much broader narrative arc and more variety across repeated campaigns.

Contents include: six 25″ x 38″ game maps, three 5/8″ counter sheets, four 1″ counter sheets, two rulebooks, two scenario books, two squad-tracking pads, nine displays/charts, and one game box.
