Custer’s Last Stand is a two-player historical wargame from Worthington Publishing covering two of the most famous battles of the 1876 Sioux Campaign: Rosebud Creek and Little Bighorn. One player commands U.S. cavalry forces, while the other commands the Lakota, Cheyenne, and allied warriors who stopped one U.S. column at Rosebud and destroyed another at Little Bighorn.
The game lets players explore both historical situations from either side. Can Crook or Custer act boldly without repeating the mistakes that led to defeat? Can Crazy Horse or Sitting Bull match or exceed their historical success? With two battles included on a double-sided mounted board, Custer’s Last Stand gives players a compact but dramatic treatment of command, timing, terrain, and risk in one of the most studied campaigns of the American West.
This is an “old-school” style hex-and-counter wargame, best suited for players looking for a direct two-player historical battle game rather than a large campaign simulation. The mounted boards, player aids, counter sheets, and playbook make it a complete standalone package.
