Dark Ages: Heritage of Charlemagne

Dark Ages: Heritage of Charlemagne is a standalone civilization-building board game set in medieval Western Europe. Players lead historical powers through expansion, construction, technology, warfare, and political development, using a mix of 4X-style objectives and Euro-style action selection.

The game rewards long-term planning, territory control, resource management, and careful use of leaders and asymmetric abilities. It includes a large map, many cards, and a substantial set of plastic miniatures representing troops, cities, fortresses, farms, and other structures.

This is the Heritage of Charlemagne version of Dark Ages, focused on Western Europe. It can be combined with Dark Ages: Holy Roman Empire for a larger game with more players.

Contents include: main board, action board, player boards, dice, wooden discs, tokens, cards, 275+ plastic miniatures, and multiple module mini-expansions.
