Gorbachev: The Fall of Communism is a solitaire strategy game from White Dog Games covering the collapse of the Soviet Union from 1985 to 1991. The player takes the role of a trusted adviser to Mikhail Gorbachev, trying to help manage the political, social, and economic shocks that transformed the Soviet Union during the final years of the Cold War.

The game focuses on glasnost, perestroika, media pressure, reform, political instability, public unrest, and the internal contradictions of the Soviet system. At the same time, players must also manage Gorbachev himself, whose shifting policies, moods, allies, and opponents create much of the chaos they are trying to survive.
