Lincoln’s War is a card-driven game on the American Civil War, focusing on the political pressures behind military command.

Rather than treating the battlefield as separate from politics, the game makes political support central to strategy. Players use Political Currency to activate generals, promote commanders, purchase war material, push hesitant leaders into action, and maintain support for the war effort.

The Union and Confederate players must balance battlefield opportunities with political risk. Winning battles matters, but losing congressional support can be just as dangerous. Drive your opponent’s Political Currency to zero at the wrong moment and the war may be decided even if armies remain in the field.

The game features a diceless combat system, seditious political figures, and immobilization tokens representing casualties, hesitation, confusion, and insubordination. It is a strong choice for players interested in the Civil War as a political-military struggle rather than a purely operational contest.

Contents include: one 22" x 34" map, one colour rulebook, one colour play and background booklet, 162 Operations Cards, two countersheets, and two player aid cards.
