Imperial Elegy is a card-driven grand strategy game about imperial rivalry, industrial power, diplomacy, and war between 1850 and 1920. Players guide great powers through decades of shifting alliances, colonial pressure, naval projection, crises, and military preparation, with the Great War as a possible but not inevitable outcome.

Action cards can be used for command points or historical events, forcing players to decide when to build, bargain, expand, mobilize, or strike. The game supports solitaire and smaller player counts, but is designed especially for a six-player struggle in which diplomacy, timing, and hidden national goals shape the final result.

Contents include: world map with flashpoints and naval boxes, Action Card decks, counters and markers for powers, fleets, armies and control, player aids, reference sheets, rulebook, and playbook.
