Incredible Courage at Austerlitz: Telnitz is the base game in Grognard Simulations’ tactical treatment of the Battle of Austerlitz.

This volume focuses on the southern portion of the battlefield, where Buxhöwden’s Coalition forces came down from the Pratzen Heights against Napoleon’s seemingly weak right flank. What looked like an opportunity became a grinding fight once Davout’s corps arrived to stabilize the French position.

The Incredible Courage system models Napoleonic combat at a very detailed level, with infantry and cavalry at company and squadron scale and artillery at section level. Variable combat strengths, elite units, Levels of Order, command friction, and formation choices all shape how units perform as the battle develops.

Telnitz is also the required base for the later Pratzen and Santon expansions, making it the foundation for players who want to build toward the full Austerlitz battlefield. It includes three scenarios, allowing play on smaller portions of the battle or the full Telnitz action.

This is a strong choice for players who want a detailed, solitaire-friendly Napoleonic tactical system with plenty of formation, command, and battlefield texture.
