Inferno: Guelphs and Ghibellines Vie for Tuscany, 1259-1261 is the third volume in GMT’s Levy & Campaign Series, bringing the system to 13th-century Tuscany.

Players take command of the rival Guelph and Ghibelline factions as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and other powers are drawn into a bitter struggle for control. This is medieval campaigning with a sharp Italian character: urban wealth, factional politics, rebel towns, fortified roads, cavalry raids, crossbowmen, and sudden reversals all matter.

As with other Levy & Campaign games, success depends on more than winning battles. Players must muster forces, manage supply, move lords across the map, and decide when to raid, besiege, or risk open battle. In Inferno, political instability and local treachery make the campaign especially volatile.

This is a strong choice for players who enjoy operational medieval warfare with rich historical flavor and meaningful logistical choices. It is playable by one or two players.
