Lock ’n Load Tactical: Heroes of North Africa

Lock ’n Load Tactical: Heroes of North Africa brings the Lock ’n Load Tactical system to the desert campaigns of World War II, from the early fighting of 1940 through the major battles of 1942 and 1943.

The game covers a wide range of North African actions, with Italian infantry, Folgore paratroopers, Rommel’s Afrika Korps, the British Eighth Army, Commonwealth forces, Free French units, and American troops entering combat during Operation Torch. Each force brings its own mix of weapons, vehicles, leadership, and battlefield strengths.

Desert warfare places extra emphasis on manoeuvre, armour, long sight lines, anti-tank guns, and coordination between infantry and vehicles. The impulse-based turn system keeps both players involved, while squad-level combat highlights leadership, morale, suppression, close assaults, and individual acts of battlefield heroism.
