Next War Supplement 2

Next War Supplement 2 expands the Next War Series with a major new focus on insurgency and counterinsurgency warfare, alongside additional system updates.

The centerpiece of this supplement is the Next War: Insurgency module, which allows players to continue conflicts beyond conventional warfare. Occupied regions can erupt into insurgency campaigns, introducing new unit types, hidden forces, and altered gameplay flow. A dedicated sequence of play blends elements of the standard and advanced rules into a streamlined system for these operations.

In addition, the supplement introduces a range of optional systems and updates, including enhanced air defense rules (Patriot, S-300/400, THAAD), nuclear options for North Korea, updated orders of battle, and expanded submarine mechanics. These additions can be used together or selectively, depending on how much complexity players want to include.

This expansion is aimed at experienced Next War players looking to extend their games into new phases of conflict and explore additional layers of modern warfare.
