No Motherland Without is a two-player card-driven strategy game depicting the long struggle between North Korea and the West from 1953 to the present.
One player controls the DPRK, balancing internal stability, economic survival, and the pursuit of nuclear weapons as a deterrent. Managing elites, avoiding unrest, and navigating isolation are just as important as advancing the missile program. The other player represents the West, using intelligence, sanctions, diplomacy, and pressure to contain the regime and disrupt its ambitions.
The game focuses on asymmetric strategy. The DPRK must survive under constant pressure while slowly building strength, while the West must decide how aggressively to act without destabilizing the situation entirely. Cards drive the flow of events, shaping political developments, crises, and opportunities over time.
This is a strong fit for players who enjoy modern geopolitical themes, card-driven decision-making, and tense back-and-forth play where both sides operate under very different constraints.
Contents include: core game cards and supporting components required for card-driven gameplay, along with rules and player aids.
