No Question of Surrender brings MMP’s Grand Tactical Series to North Africa, covering the Free French defence of Bir Hacheim during the Gazala battles of 1942.

At the southern end of the Gazala Line, Free French forces, including Foreign Legion battalions, held an abandoned Turkish fort against repeated German and Italian attacks. Rommel’s Panzerarmee Afrika increased the pressure again and again, but the defenders refused surrender.

The game uses the company-level Grand Tactical Series system seen in The Devil’s Cauldron, adapted here for the desert battlefield. New terrain types and special rules reflect the conditions and events of the Bir Hacheim fighting, from Italian attacks by the Ariete Division to the struggle for Point 186 and the full siege beginning on 2 June.

Scenarios allow players to explore the historical attacks and alternative possibilities, including whether a stronger Italian effort could have taken the position earlier. The full siege scenario presents the central challenge: can the Free French hold long enough against mounting Axis strength?
