Rising Sun

Rising Sun is a competitive strategy board game for 3 to 5 players set in a mythic version of feudal Japan. Each player leads a powerful clan seeking to reshape Nippon as the ancient Kami return, using diplomacy, alliances, negotiation, worship, monsters, and war to gain victory before winter arrives.

The game is built around shifting alliances and political mandates as much as battlefield strength. Players recruit forces, position miniatures across the provinces, seek the favour of the Kami, customize their clans, and fight battles through a distinctive bluffing and bidding system where timing and reading your opponents matter as much as raw force.

A strong choice for players who enjoy negotiation-heavy conflict games with high table presence, asymmetric clans, dramatic miniatures, and plenty of room for betrayal.
