The German player must drive hard with limited, overstretched forces, while the Soviet player must absorb the blow, preserve strength, and strike back once the German attack has outrun its logistics.

Part of the Standard Combat Series, Rostov ’41 keeps the counter density low and the map open, creating a mobile campaign with sharp operational choices. Turns represent 3 to 6 days, the map scale is 2.5 miles per hex, and units range from battalions to divisions.
