Sensuikan: Japanese Fleet Submarines, 1941–45

Sensuikan: Japanese Fleet Submarines, 1941–45 is a solitaire tactical game placing you in command of a Japanese submarine during World War II.

Rather than focusing only on merchant raiding, Sensuikan reflects the Imperial Japanese Navy’s historical use of submarines for reconnaissance, fleet support, special missions, and unusual operations. Players conduct patrols, follow orders from higher command, complete assigned missions, improve crew quality, and try to survive as the war turns increasingly against Japan.

The game includes 17 submarine classes, along with special modules for aircraft, midget submarines, and Kaiten suicide torpedoes. Missions may involve everything from fleet scouting and special attacks to aircraft operations and support for major events in the wider Pacific War.

Built on the familiar Hunters-style solitaire framework, Sensuikan is a strong fit for players who enjoy narrative career games, submarine warfare, and the more unusual corners of World War II naval history.
