Solitaire General: Napoleon at Waterloo

Solitaire General: Napoleon at Waterloo is a solitaire wargame from White Dog Games that puts the player in command of Napoleon’s French army on 18 June 1815. Your goal is not only to defeat Wellington’s Allied army and hold off Blücher’s Prussians, but to preserve enough of your army — especially the Imperial Guard — for the wider campaign that might follow.

The game uses area movement and hidden Allied forces to capture the uncertainty Napoleon faced on the battlefield. As French units make contact, enemy formations are revealed: some positions may contain weaker troops, while others may hide elite infantry, heavy cavalry, or dangerous reserves. The Allies also react, reinforce, launch attacks, and bring the Prussians closer as the day unfolds.

Part of the Solitaire General series, Napoleon at Waterloo Solitaire includes a range of options and scenarios for replay value, including uncertain Prussian arrival, an early start, Allied reserves at Hal, Grouchy, Prussian blocking attempts, and different difficulty settings.
