Stalin's World War III

This two-game package includes Operation Pincher, covering the Soviet offensive in Europe, and Operation Sandown, covering the Soviet offensive in the Middle East. Each volume can be played separately, or both can be combined into a four-map grand campaign.

Players command Soviet, satellite, NATO, UN, and regional forces across the first ten weeks of a possible Third World War. The Soviet side must drive hard for decisive objectives before losses and Allied counteroffensives catch up. The Western side must survive the initial shock, manage limited ground forces, and decide how far to escalate with atomic weapons.

Atomic bombs are included, but their use is constrained by availability, delivery limitations, and political consequences. That gives the game a sharp strategic dilemma: battlefield survival may come at the cost of wider political defeat.

With four maps, multiple fronts, and support for one to four players, Stalin’s World War III is suited to players who enjoy large-scale alternative history, Cold War operational warfare, and high-stakes “what if?” scenarios.
