Storm of Steel Revised Edition

Storm of Steel Revised Edition is a large strategic World War I board wargame from Decision Games covering the full conflict across Europe and the Middle East. Three maps span the war from the Pyrenees to the Urals, with scenarios allowing players to focus on individual fronts, single years, multi-year campaigns, the Eastern Front, an alternate-history 1919 scenario, or the entire First World War.

Turns are quarterly, with ground forces at corps level and naval forces represented by capital ship squadrons and cruiser/destroyer flotillas. The game includes land, naval, air, mobilization, production, morale, blockade, submarine warfare, amphibious operations, and economic strain, while campaign cards generate major operations, technological developments, events, and key personalities.

Land combat uses different combat approaches to model probes, assaults, and infiltration tactics. Players must manage offensives, production, doctrine, morale, and the home front while trying to sustain the war effort across multiple theaters.
