The Defence of Procyon III

The Defence of Procyon III is a highly asymmetric science-fiction wargame for four players, played in two teams across space and ground theatres.

Humanity has discovered an ancient alien artefact beneath one of its earliest extrasolar colonies, just as an alien fleet enters the Procyon system. The UN Armada races to defend the settlement while the alien Aethyn launch their own coordinated assault.

Each side is split between two commanders: one controls the space forces, while the other handles the ground campaign. The space war uses a hex-based board, while the planetary battle is fought across a point-to-point network of locations. Card-driven play, low-luck combat, and distinct faction roles create a tense team-based conflict where coordination matters, but each commander has their own responsibilities and battlefield to manage.

The game also includes an automated opponent, allowing one or two players to play cooperatively against the system.
