The Fate of Reiters is a grand-tactical wargame covering five battles from the French Wars of Religion between 1562 and 1598. Using the same system family as By Shot, Shock and Faith, it recreates clashes between Catholic and Huguenot forces in a period where Renaissance warfare was shifting between shock, firepower, cavalry action, and mercenary armies.

The game includes battles at Cognat, Dormans, Vimory, Auneau, and Métrieux, with area maps and moderate complexity. It is a good choice for players interested in early modern warfare, pike-and-shot tactics, and lesser-covered conflicts beyond the usual Napoleonic or Second World War subjects.
