The Korean War: June 1950 to May 1951, Designer Signature Edition is an operational wargame covering the first year of the Korean War.

Players command UN, North Korean, and Communist Chinese forces across the Korean peninsula, from the fall of South Korea’s defenses to Inchon, the advance north, Chinese intervention, and the wider crisis that followed. Ground and air forces include infantry, marines, paratroopers, armor, aircraft, and formations ranging from battalions to divisions.

This Designer Signature Edition updates Joseph Balkoski’s classic design with larger counters, updated maps, revised rules, improved setup and reinforcement aids, modified amphibious assault rules, new random events, and updated historical notes.

The game’s tension is not only military. Political decisions and global tension matter, especially for the UN player, who must apply enough force to save South Korea without pushing the crisis toward a wider war.

Contents include: four map sheets forming a 42.5” x 71” overall map, three 9/16” countersheets, rules booklet with updated historical notes, two charts and tables booklets, one 10-sided die, and a box with lid.
