The War: Europe 1939–1945 (Reprint 2021)

The War: Europe 1939–1945 is a strategic-level World War II game covering the European theater from the invasion of Poland to the fall of Germany.

Players manage the major powers of the war through land campaigns, naval operations, U-Boat warfare, strategic bombing, diplomacy, espionage, production choices, and optional variant possibilities. While not a card-driven game, it uses optional card systems for areas such as naval warfare, bombing, espionage, and the Battle of the Atlantic to add bluff and uncertainty.

The game includes twelve scenarios, ranging from short focused campaigns such as Poland, Norway, France, Barbarossa, North Africa, and D-Day to the full 1939 campaign. It is designed for players who enjoy big strategic WWII games with broad scope, historical options, and plenty of alternate-history possibilities.

Contents include: two maps, nine full sheets of 5/8” counters, approximately 20 full-color display and chart cards, rules booklet, scenario booklet, variant card deck, two dice, and a large box with lid.
