Tranquility Base with Soviet Moon Expansion

Tranquility Base is a space race strategy board game about America’s race to the Moon. Players take command of NASA’s Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programmes, using cards to develop missions, handle historic events, manage crises, and push toward the first lunar landing. The game is described as the new and expanded second edition of Moonshot: The Game.

This is not a trivia game or a dice-heavy simulation. Instead, the story of the Apollo programme is represented through cards for missions, machines, crises, landmark events, and key moments of the space race. The appeal is in planning, timing, and managing the risks of ambitious spaceflight while racing toward one of history’s great technological achievements.

This version includes the Soviet Moon Expansion, which adds an AI-driven Soviet space race opponent. The expansion can be used as a non-player rival in multiplayer games or as additional pressure in solitaire play, making the race to the Moon feel less like an internal NASA project and more like a true Cold War contest.
