The included game, Escape Hell’s Gate, is a two-player wargame using the Fire & Movement folio rules system. It covers the final attempt by German 3rd Panzer Corps formations to reach German units encircled in the Korsun Pocket between 10 and 17 February 1944.

Both players must fight two connected battles. The German player must push relief forces toward the pocket while also trying to keep the trapped formations alive. The Soviet player must block the relief attempt while continuing the final drive to reduce the pocket. Victory depends on how well each side allocates limited forces between breakthrough, defense, and destruction of the encircled troops.

Components include: one 22×34 inch map and 280 die-cut counters.
