A Most Fearful Sacrifice – 2nd Edition is a large-scale American Civil War wargame covering the full three days of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Using the Black Swan system, the game combines grand battle scope with a tactical feel, using card-driven corps activations, events, fog of war, and battlefield friction to keep both players reacting to an evolving situation.

Players command Union and Confederate forces across more than 15 square feet of map area, with hundreds of counters representing the formations and markers needed to recreate the battle.

This second edition includes rules and scenario refinements, updated materials, and larger player aid cards for key tables and sequences. It is a serious Gettysburg game, but one designed to keep the battle moving rather than burying players under a mountain of procedural misery.
